This Monday I showed up bright and early at the French consulate in Boston to give them a second letter affirming the fact that I would not be working in France and explaining how I proposed to not go completely broke while spending 3.5 months there. I gave the letter to one consulate worker who passed it to her colleague who went to find my application. And lo and behold, there was my passport with visa already in it!
I won't get booted out after 90 days in France, nor will I need to worry about being there illegally after those 90 days. Now all I need to do is start firming up my farm plans. Track my planning progress here with a map of farms I'm interested in throughout the country, as well as sites I want to see.

Tres Bien. I am very excited for you. I can't wait to read whatever you are able to post. I want to enjoy the olive oil and cheese vicariously. Thanks for your sweet note. Kathy C.
