It appears that I am actually going to France. I bought my Boston -> Paris -> D.C. ticket two weeks ago, along with an international student ID card, and travel insurance.
I also had two great chats in the last week with recent France WWOOF and farm workers. One, a current Yale undergrad, took some time off and WWOOFed in Provence, even with one of the hosts I'm interested in. She had a great time. As did a former student of my dad's who spent three months working on farms near Le Puy-en-Valey, a medium-sized town in Auvergne. I'm more excited with each conversation.

A place to keep people updated
The countdown is on with exactly two months until my last day at work. A little more than two short weeks after that, I'll be headed to France. This is where I'll keep a log of what's going on with me in France. I have no idea what kind of internet access I'll have in smaller towns, but we'll see.
For now, here's a nice photo of the most well-known symbol of France I took when Tim and I were there in March.

Lots more photos and updates to come. I'll be buying my plane tickets this week, so it's soon to be official!
